47th ANNIVERSARY OF THE WALDBAUM’S FIRE - posted 7/18/2025

A Memorial Mass commemorating the 47th Anniversary of the Waldbaum’s Fire will be held

on Saturday, August 2nd

at 10:30am

at St. Brendan’s Church located at 1202 Avenue O in Brooklyn.

Hosted by Engine 254, Engine 276, Ladder 153, Ladder 156, Battalion 33 and Battalion 42, the Mass will honor the memory of the 6 firefighters who made the Ultimate Sacrifice at the tragic fire that broke out in a Brooklyn Waldbaum’s supermarket on August 2, 1978. Members and families are welcome. Members are asked to attend in Class A Uniform.
