Battalion Chief John J. McDonnell Elected President of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association and
Lieutenant Edward P. Boles Named Treasurer

Captain Peter L. Gorman has accepted a position as Chief of Staff at the International Association of Firefighters, headquartered in Washington, DC.  Gorman is leaving after serving eight years as UFOA President.  The interim election today is to fill the last three months of Gorman’s term.

The Executive Board is please to announce:

BC Jack McDonnell has been elected President of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association effective June 1, 2007.

Lt. Edward Boles succeeds McDonnell as Treasurer.

All other positions remain the same, as follows:  Lt. Stephen J. Carbone, Vice President; Deputy Chief Nicholas Visconti, Recording Secretary; Lieutenant James McGowan, Financial Secretary; Captain Michael Currid, Sergeant-at-Arms; Captain John Dunne, Captains’ Representative; and Battalion Chief George Belnavis, Chiefs’ Representative.
