CHIEF OF DEPARTMENT HAYDEN TO TESTIFY
BEFORE CITY COUNCIL ON CIMS

On May 9 th , The Fire and Criminal Justice Committee will hold a joint hearing with the Committee on Public Safety to discuss the role of the FDNY with the Proposed Citywide Incident Management System (CIMS). This past Thursday, a press conference was held by Speaker Gifford Miller to announce that Chief of Department Peter Hayden would be subpoenaed to testify at the hearing. This subpoena was issued because the Mayor initially refused to allow the Chief of Department to testify.

Interested members are advised to attend the hearing in Class A uniform or dressed to identify yourself as a Fire Officer.

Again, the hearing will be held Monday, May 9 th 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Committee Room at City Hall.
