WORLD TRADE CENTER BILL
***NOTE CHANGE IN TIME AND LOCATION***
This is an update from the original time and location. The bill signing for tomorrow, has been changed to 10:00 am @ Battery Park.
Tomorrow at 10:00am, at Battery Park, Governor Pataki will formally sign the WTC Presumptive Bill. We urge all off duty members to please make an effort to attend the signing of this historic piece of legislation.
After three long years, the UFOA and the Public Employees Conference have succeeded in passage of this bill. The bill will offer pension protection to all fire fighters, fire officers, police officers of the NYPD, PAPD, State Troopers and thousands of other public employees who worked tirelessly at the rescue and recovery effort for eight months.
Please look for the white banner of the UFOA when you arrive at the site tomorrow.
