WORLD TRADE CENTER BILL

Tomorrow at 11:00am, at the World Trade Center, Governor Pataki will formally sign the WTC Presumptive Bill. We urge all off duty members to please make an effort to attend the signing of this historic piece of legislation.

After three long years, the UFOA and the Public Employees Conference have succeeded in passage of this bill. The bill will offer pension protection to all fire fighters, fire officers, police officers of the NYPD, PAPD, State Troopers and thousands of other public employees who worked tirelessly at the rescue and recovery effort for eight months.

Please look for the white banner of the UFOA when you arrive at the site tomorrow.
