RALLY FOR A FAIR CONTRACT
Dear Members:
The Uniformed Fire Officers Association is joining with the Uniformed Firefighters Association, Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, and the United Federation of Teachers to rally for a fair contract on Tuesday, June 8, 2004. Starting time is 4:30 PM in City Hall Park.
Joined by our families, friends and other supporters, we are going to assemble within earshot of Mayor Bloomberg's office in City Hall Park to demonstrate our solidarity and give voice to our concerns. It will be a day not only for showing New Yorkers how we feel about the City's complete failure to acknowledge at the bargaining table the tremendous work we do for the City, but also to ask New Yorkers to put all of their support behind us, as we do for them on a daily basis.
Your attendance is necessary if we want our message to be heard loudly and clearly.
We are professionals, and we must act accordingly at all times. As you know, the eyes of the City will be upon us and our detractors will use any incident, real or imagined, to undermine our call for fair pay.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
